The BDS movement welcomed the antisemitic United Nations publishing a list of 112 companies that do business in Israeli West Bank settlements.

Since its egregious inception, the United Nations Human Rights Council has condemned Israel about as many times as it has every other country in the world combined.

According to The Washington Post, Israel’s human rights record is discussed at literally every meeting of the Human Rights Council.

The United States withdrew from the council in June of 2018, calling its passage of numerous resolutions critical of Israel “clear proof that the council is motivated by political bias, not human rights.

Several hours after the United Nations published a list of 112 companies that do business in West Bank settlements.

The BDS website were almost giddy describing it as a “first significant and concrete step by any U.N. entity” toward holding Israeli and international businesses to account for profiting from Israeli settlements.

The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement website stated:

Palestinian civil society welcomes this long-awaited UN list of companies that are complicit in Israel’s illegal settlement enterprise, which constitutes a war crime under international law. We thank all human rights organizations that worked tirelessly for the release of such an important instrument of transparency and accountability.

UN’s Long History Of Antisemitism

Israel responded by suspending its ties with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Israel Katz’s office said he ordered the “exceptional and harsh measure” in retaliation for Michelle Bachelet’s office “serving the BDS campaign,” referring to the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement.

The United Nations, of course, has long shown its hatred of Jews, and Israel, from its 1975 infamous Resolution 3379, which determined that Zionism was a “form of racism and racial discrimination,” to its 2006 creation of the Human Rights Council (current members include sparkling examples of tolerance like Afghanistan, Angola, Qatar, Somalia and Bangladesh.)

In 2018, while the Bashar al-Assad regime was gassing its own women and children and thousands of civilians were dying in a vicious civil war, the Human Rights Council passed only two condemnations directed at the Syrian regime but five directed at the Jewish state. Incidentally, Israel was delivering aid to refugees of that conflict at the time.

The only other countries to receive even one condemnation in 2018 were South Sudan, Myanmar, Iran and the slave state of North Korea.

The United Nations has drafted so many anti-Israel resolutions that people have given up on entering them into Wikipedia.
