President-elect Trump’s life has been turned upside down since November. But he isn’t the only one, as liberal New Yorker’s are still waging an anti-Trump campaign that is often aimed at his children.
Since President-elect Trump’s win in November, his family’s life has been altered for good. Trump’s three oldest children often take heat from the war-waging liberals. Donald Jr., 38, Ivanka, 35, and Eric, 32, are now well versed to the ridicule and criticism that has come with the territory of Trump’s remarkable win.
According to the New York Post, 78.5 percent of city voters cast their ballot for Hillary Clinton. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Trumps find themselves in the midst of constant protesters chanting “Love trumps hate.”
After the election in November, Eric Trump and his wife Lara Yunaska were “heckled” by several teens on 57th Street in New York yelling, “Eric, f- -k your father!” and, “Love trumps hate!”
Roughly 150 protesters emerged outside of the Puck Building, which is owned by Jared Kushner – Ivanka’s husband. There, people chanted “Tell Daddy No,” as they swarmed the outside of the building.
“This is a plea to Ivanka to talk some sense because she’s in this transition committee for her father, and hopefully she can be his voice of reason,” said Arden Wohl a socialite filmmaker and friend of Ivanka’s.
Even Donald Jr.’s wife, Vanessa Haydon, has recently been blasted by naysayers of her father-in-law on Twitter.
A prior Buckley School classmate of Donald Jr.’s told The Post, “You can’t be a Trump supporter in the city.”
But many who know the Trump children well say that they are resilient and have thick skin to stand up to the backlash.
Ivana Trump, the first wife of Donald Trump and mother of the three eldest children, told The Post in November, “Protests are protests. It is a divided country. People on the other side, they just have to get over it, because America voted and that is that.”
Ivana also voiced her concern for Barron, President-elect’s youngest child. “Barron is 10 years old. It’s so new for him. I think [my kids] are around cameras all their lives and are prepared for it,” she said.
Campaign manager, and part of Trump’s transition team, Kelly Ann Conway takes note of the positive reactions, as well, saying, “Now that the holidays are upon us and the rest of ‘real America’ from ‘flyover country’ is on Fifth Avenue, selfie-seekers, the happy faces, are out in full force at Trump Tower.” Conway continued,“They are literally jubilant “
