President Donald Trump is scheduled to make a major speech before the United Nations on Religious Freedom next week, a tough case to make in front of that body. The Secretary General, António Guterres, will be in a separate meeting, arguing about the weather.

The United Nations is an especially difficult audience, when you’re talking about issues like antisemitism and the religious freedom of Christians. That’s exactly what President Trump plans to do. Both groups continue to experience severe persecution in other parts of the world.

The President’ schedule on Monday includes hosting and addressing an event at the Global Call to Protect Religious Freedom. Vice President Mike Pence, also an Evangelical Christian, who has experienced numerous personal attacks and frequent ridicule for his faith from the left, will be there by the President’s side.

“@POTUS will host and provide remarks at a “Global Call to Protect Religious Freedom” at the UN on Monday, Sept. 23, @PressSec says, as @secgen hosts the Climate Action Summit,” tweeted reporter Michael Wilner.

While the President is addressing religious freedom throughout the world, the left continues its alarmism about climate change. What is it now? Is the Earth cooling or warming?

“The President will call on the international community to take concrete steps to prevent attacks against people on the basis of their religion or beliefs and to ensure the sanctity of houses of worship and all public spaces for all faiths.” White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said.

Progressives are sure to make a big deal out of the President’s “Muslim ban,” in an effort to destroy his credibility on the issue.

What liberals don’t seem to understand is that the travel restrictions weren’t a ban on Muslims because of their religion, but a national security measure to prevent terrorists. It’s irrelevant that they happened to be Muslim because they originated from certain countries with a history of Anti-Americanism. Those countries are also notorious for supporting terrorism.

It only makes sense to put a hold on them from entering the country with the intent to harm Americans. It was only meant to be temporary until better screening methods could be implemented.

The protection of religious freedom, not just of Jews and Christians, but those of all faiths, is an issue that Trump campaigned on in 2016. His administration has made restoring faith a priority.

Its hard not to notice that the nation-states included in President Trump’s travel ban are those with the some of the most egregious records of abusing the rights of Christians, and other religious minorities. Secular Progressives don’t care about the religious liberty of Muslims; they just share a common enemy, President Donald Trump.
