Speaker Pelosi doesn’t have any idea which way to go on the impeachment question — for a good reason.

The last thing Nancy Pelosi wants to do is show weakness within her party, because it could cost them a lot more than just the election. Some Democrats are screaming demands for immediate impeachment, while others aren’t sure what to do.

On Wednesday, Robert Mueller shocked the nation by alleging, “the Constitution requires a process other than the criminal justice system to formally accuse a sitting President of wrongdoing.” Liberals across the country took that as a specific direction to Congress.

The Speaker of the House is trying to make her colleagues see that as much as they want to destroy President Trump, now isn’t the time, even if Robert Mueller did seem to give them the green light. Lawmakers are all under intense pressure from outside groups to get the impeachment ball rolling.

“Many constituents want to impeach the president but we want to do what is right and what gets results.”

Right after Mueller’s bombshell speech, Pelosi told the press that she doesn’t want any impeachment proceedings without all the facts and until the house finishes its investigation. “Many constituents want to impeach the president,” Pelosi concurs, “but we want to do what is right and what gets results.”

“Nothing is off the table but we do want to make such a compelling case, such an ironclad case.”

“Nothing is off the table,” Pelosi assures eager Democrats, “but we do want to make such a compelling case, such an ironclad case.”

Pelosi is sticking with her own plans, despite the intense pressure from other Democrats. Her own political instincts tell her to stay away from all of that until stronger evidence is turned in. This is a high risk make-or-break game.

President Trump responded harshly with some nasty words for the Democrats on Thursday. Impeachment, he said, is such a “dirty, filthy, disgusting word,” and added “I can’t imagine the courts allowing it.”

Public opinion polls on the subject clearly show there isn’t nearly enough popular support to go after Trump, so to proceed down the path that Democrat lawmakers favor may cost them their jobs instead.

One of the biggest challenges here comes from Mueller’s statement that he couldn’t charge Donald Trump for anything but couldn’t exonerate him either. Because of that, each political side has their own meaning of what Muller said, and it is dividing the country.

There is very little chance that the Republican controlled Senate is ever going to convict President Trump, the same way they failed to convict Bill Clinton, so why are the Democrat’s wasting millions of tax payers dollars on the attempt? The only logical reason is that something a lot more important is at stake, like stopping the investigation into the very origins of the Mueller investigation.

They certainly don’t seem to be taking the initiative to do something constructive for our citizens. Democrats should carefully consider Pelosi’s request to stand back and take a deep breath. If they are not careful, when 2020 comes around they are the ones who will likely find themselves out on the street, or in jail, or facing the death penalty.
