This year’s Grammy Awards’ Political Granny photobomber was a Pro. Carlo Pietro Giovanni Guglielmo Tebaldo Ponzi; (March 3, 1882 – January 18, 1949), the grandfather of premeditated swindling of Americans out of their hard-earned cash would be proud. Stealing $1.5 billion from the Haitians before going for their gold was impressive.  Darn! That Dossier was supposed to work.  She paid good money for it. Some people can’t take a hint.  You lost because you were exposed many times over.

Examples: The Clinton Cash, book/documentary, news coverage of Haitian protesters claiming you stole over $1.5 billion, the Benghazi riot and deaths (one the ambassador), the exposure of your defense of a rapist of a 12 year old girl and bragging when you got the man off because you were such a great liar.  There was no Russian collusion, not unless you want to look in your own backyard!

In some ways, we are completely baffled. The FBI? The DOJ?  These agencies are the backbone of the American criminal justice system.  They were supposed to be the “Good Guys.”  Instead, they had Hillary’s back. They did not bust her when they first learned how she betrayed her Public Trust in favor of personal gain and financial riches.  We survived the 2008 economic crash and Bernard Madoff for his Ponzi scheme that ripped $68.4 billion from about 4,800 clients. You know where he is now?  In prison! Why isn’t Hillary?  Even if his shoes fit with a couple of pairs of socks, why wear them?

Although the Saudi Arabian camels have higher standards than American awards for the entertainment industry, we still held out hope that at least music would be creative enough to resist being pulled into the murky swamp.

By now it should be apparent that Trump WON!! We live in a free country where we vote and the winner becomes president.  Losers move on.  It is not rocket science, and sportsmanship plays a vital role when the loser concedes to the victor.  But no, unless it was just that the camels were already booked, it appears that after one whole year in office, there are still Never Trumpers playing hardcore dirty politics.  They are still slandering our president, his lovely wife ( a refined lady legal immigrant), their pre-teen boy and the entire Trump family. Morally bankrupt. There appears to be no low too low for the bottom feeders of the swamp.

When the ratings for 2018 Grammy Awards fell 21% (10,000,000 viewers), was it just that music was losing its audience?  Was it too many other options, with smartphones and YouTube offering original programs?  Doubtful.  We use music to relax or energize, depending on our mood.  Music is a source of release from the linear world of details and facts.  Inviting the 2016 presidential loser to play the Political Granny on the Grammy Awards is about as mood lifting as having your partner answer a cell phone during sex.

What is it about football and now award shows?  Their producers seem to think we can’t go without politics for even one game, one show.  At this point, what difference does it make?  Will the audience ever return, or has the lack of respect for the viewers been sufficient to send them into the arms of competitive programming for good?  Let’s just hope we do not have another seven years of entertainment contaminated with politics.

REALITY CHECK: AGAIN, TRUMP WON!! Get over it, and please let sports be sports and music focus on song and dance.  Jettison the backstabbing, hypocritical rants.  Consider not planting sabotage plans with the DOJ and FBI.  Isn’t it getting even a little embarrassing for the losers yet?  Come on, Mama, tell me “Is it soup yet?!”

Tonight President Trump will take the stage for his first State of the Union address.  Some will watch it.  Some are the die-hard ones “With HER,” who will wait to see it on SNL as a slanderous satire.  Tonight will be political.  Sadly, the formerly funny SNL has descended into mean-spirited jabs.

Remember this one?  “Talk show host Baba Wawa (Gilda Radner) interviews Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (John Belushi) and discusses politics, power as the ultimate aphrodisiac and why he still speaks with an accent after decades of living in America. Aired 11/20/76” is an example of the old style humor. Even violent crime could be worth an honest laugh.   Now THAT was funny!!

Maybe after the swamp has been drained, we can get back our football, award shows, and comedy.  For now, most important, we get our Country Back!!  Thank you, Mr. President.  No one is perfect, and you were not even a politician, but thank you for your public service.  One year down!  Now tell us, what IS the State of the Union?
