Although I am very upset at what happened to Sarah Sanders, I refuse to stoop to their level. Please stop the hate! The owner of the Red Hen made a huge mistake. By kicking Sarah Sanders and her family out of the restaurant, she alienated her customers, past and future. I wholeheartedly disagree with what the owner did but I respect her right to serve who she chooses to serve. I have seen posts suggesting we call the Red Hen and make reservations and then be a no-show. What will this accomplish other than keeping the hate going? Sarah handled this in such a dignified way, we all need to follow her lead. Sarah was completely right when she said that what was done said more about the owner then it did her. Sarah respected the owner’s rights and held her head high and left. She didn’t retaliate with hate.
I have never seen so much anger and hate. This has to stop. This hate didn’t just begin with the election of President Trump. I think people have been sitting on a powder keg for years. President Trump was made aware of it when he held his rallies and spoke with the American people. The forgotten people that were left ignored and festering during the 8 years of the Obama presidency. The American people who have suppressed their anger for many years finally found a voice in President Trump. But the hate is escalating and I fear somebody is going to get hurt or worse.
And then you have Maxine Waters saying, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. Protesters are going to absolutely harass them.” Why isn’t anything being done about this? This is an elected official inciting violence.
All of this is happening because the Democrats, the left and Hillary Clinton simply cannot and will not accept the results of the 2016 election. They were told by the media that Hillary was going to win and they bought it hook, line and sinker.
The FBI and Justice Department did everything they could to make sure Trump did not win the election. And when he won the election they continued to try and set him up with fake Russian accusations. Now all of the illegal actions are coming out, they have absolutely nothing to prove any Russian collusion, the Robert Mueller investigation is falling apart and they have become completely unhinged. Top that off with President Trump doing a good job (although you won’t hear the media reporting that). These people actually want the president to fail.
All this from the party of inclusion who when they go low we go high. Who would have thought that what Michelle Obama really meant was we can go even lower? I don’t quite understand how kicking somebody out of a restaurant because they work for President Trump fits into that quote. Did they feel comfortable kicking her out because she was white and a woman? Would they have kicked her out because she worked for Obama? Is the White House gift shop worker next on their torment list? This sounds eerily familiar; didn’t we go through this in the 60’s?
How far backwards are we really going to go? How long until people have had enough of the bullies pushing and they start pushing back? They are already segregating us by political affiliations, what is next? We are establishing a mob mentality and I don’t see this ending well.
Do you remember that saying “if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all”? I want more of that.
