Pelosi was the one who started the vitriolic exchanges.

While President Donald Trump was in Europe last week, visiting with Queen Elizabeth and U.K. political leaders, on the way to attend a memorial at the Normandy Beach D-day landing site, Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made a disgusting declaration.

In a private meeting with fellow democrats on June 4, Pelosi reportedly stated that she would prefer President Trump to be in jail than impeached. “I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison,” an unnamed source leaked to reporters.

Conservatives call her ‘Nasty Nancy’ for a good reason but President Trump toned it back in a twitter post to “Nervous Nancy.” She’s nervous because her democratic colleagues have backed her into a corner with calls for impeachment that she knows is never going to happen. All impeachment can do is split the democrat voting base.

Instead, she wants everyone focused on winning the election, a fierce uphill battle in itself. Her strategy is to put impeachment talk on the back burner and the only way she could think of to accomplish that was to dangle an even sweeter carrot in front of New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler and his cronies.

The timing on Pelosi’s comments couldn’t be worse, as President Trump notes. Not because what she said has any merit, but because it made him wrongly look bad in front of European leaders.

“Nervous Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace to herself and her family for having made such a disgusting statement, especially since I was with foreign leaders overseas,” the President started. “There is no evidence for such a thing to have been said.”

President Trump turned it back around by pointing out that for the past two years, democrats haven’t moved any serious legislation through Congress at all.

“Nervous Nancy & Dems are getting zero work done in Congress and have no intention of doing anything other than going on a fishing expedition to see if they can find anything on me…”

Not only does this seem illegal, or at least improper — even worse crimes appear to have been committed by the democrats.

It all started with the weaponization of the Department of Justice under Barack Obama’s administration. As the president notes, the witch hunt led by “grand inquisitor” Robert Muller is “both illegal & unprecedented in U.S. history.” There wasn’t any collusion.

President Trump would prefer to see some real work done in congress. “Investigate the Investigators! Go to work on Drug Price Reductions & Infrastructure!”

According to Politico, President Trump is exactly right in his analysis.

“[Pelosi is] expressing solidarity with pro-impeachment Democrats who want to hold the president accountable while disputing the idea that it is now time to take that step. Pelosi has long argued that certain conditions must be met before Democrats begin impeachment — public support and strong bipartisan backing, neither of which have so far materialized.”
