In Rashida Tlaib’s typical style of over-dramatization, she blew a chance to visit her grandmother on the West Bank near Jerusalem, then found a way to make it all President Donald Trump’s fault.

When President Trump facetiously tweeted “Israel was very respectful & nice to Rep. Rashida Tlaib, allowing her permission to visit her ‘grandmother.’ As soon as she was granted permission, she grandstanded & loudly proclaimed she would not visit Israel. Could this possibly have been a setup? Israel acted appropriately!”

He followed that up with “Rep. Tlaib wrote a letter to Israeli officials desperately wanting to visit her grandmother,” he said. “Permission was quickly granted, whereupon Tlaib obnoxiously turned the approval down, a complete setup. The only real winner here is Tlaib’s grandmother. She doesn’t have to see her now!”

The grandmother, Muftia Tlaib, got a call from Reuters to find out if she had anything to say back to President Trump. She sure did. She put the hex on him. “Trump tells me I should be happy Rashida is not coming. May God ruin him.” Now we know where Rashida gets her attitude from.

Granny is upset that Rashida won’t be allowed in the country. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her — five to six years. But sometimes I see her on TV and talk with her on the phone.” She has no idea why the Israeli government is being so mean. “Why didn’t they allow her to come here? I can’t do anything. I’m really very sad. I hope, inshallah, that she will come back. I’m waiting for her.”

It all started when Tlaib and her Muslim sidekick Ilhan Omar decided to visit Israel, planning to support Palestine by giving Jews the shaft. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that their travel plans “clarified that they planned a visit whose sole purpose was to support boycotts and deny Israel’s legitimacy.”

Everyone is supposed to “Boycott” Israeli sports and cultural events, keep their kids out of Israel’s schools, and stop doing business with all Israeli international companies. On top of that, “Divestment” means pulling all your money out of Israel’s banks, churches, pension funds and things like that. Finally, “Sanctions” will put the squeeze on even harder by “banning business with illegal Israeli settlements, ending military trade and free-trade agreements, as well as suspending Israel’s membership in international forums such as UN bodies and FIFA.”

Israel responded by boycotting Omar and Tlaib. The Israeli government denied the pair permission to enter the country. They recognized that they were cutting Tlaib off from visiting her family, so they made it clear that if she wanted to visit her Palestinian grandmother, and the rest of her tribe, they would allow it, as long as she agreed not to spread anti-Israel propaganda while she was there.

Tlaib went ahead and made the formal request, then changed her mind. She wasn’t about to back down on her principles and keep her mouth shut long enough to visit her grandma. “Apparently her hate for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother,” interior minister Aryeh Deri tweeted.
