President Donald Trump appeared before a packed house in Orlando, Florida, Tuesday night to declare war against the Democrats.
Trump kicked off his 2016 campaign in Florida four years ago this week, calling it the start of a “great movement” that brought together “hard working patriots who love their country, love their flag, love their children, and who believe that a nation must care for its own citizens first.”
“We stared down a corrupt and broken political establishment and we restored government of, by, and for the people.” Our country is not only “thriving, prospering and booming,” it is “soaring to incredible new heights.”
“This was our chance to reclaim our government from a permanent political class that enriched itself at your expense. We transferred power back to you, the proud citizens of the United States of America.”
The creatures of the swamp fought hard to stop the cleanup.
“Our patriotic movement has been under assault from the very first day,” Trump insists. “We accomplished more than any other president has in the first two and a half years of a presidency and under circumstances that no president has had to deal with before.”
“The only collusion was committed by the Democrats, the fake news media and their operatives and the people who funded the phony dossier, crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC.”
Trump reminded America that Barack Obama had been caught on an open microphone “secretly telling the Russian president to quote, ‘Inform Vladimir that after my election I’ll have more flexibility.'”
Also, “in September, just before the election, the FBI told President Obama about possible Russian interference and he did nothing because he thought that Hillary Clinton, Crooked Hillary was going to win, that’s why he did nothing.”
The Democrats don’t like the way he strengthened our military, made us the number one energy producer in the world, and competed strongly with Russia.
Going after his family, businesses, and finances was all misdirection.
“They are really going after you… They tried to erase your vote, erase your legacy… and they wanted to deny you the future that you demanded and the future that America deserves, and that now America is getting.”
Democrats are upset the courts aren’t packed in their favor anymore which led into the circus that happened over Justice Brett Kavanagh.
“They tried to destroy him with false and malicious accusations. They tried to ruin his career, they tried to ruin his life.”
“Just imagine what this angry left-wing mob would do if they were in charge of this country. Imagine if we had a Democrat president and a Democrat congress in 2020. They would shut down your free speech, use the power of the law to punish their opponents, which they’re trying to do now anyway.”
Democrats would rather “strip Americans of their constitutional rights while flooding the country with illegal immigrants.”
Washington liberals are even criticizing his plans for Independence Day but that won’t deter Trump.
“July 4th, in Washington, D.C., come on down, we’re going have a big day. Bring those American flags… we’re going to have hundreds of thousands of people, we’re going to celebrate America. Sounds good, right? July 4th, celebrate America.”
The highlight of the speech came when he unveiled his new campaign slogan. He wanted to see what the audience thought so he did an applause poll.
“Make America Great Again,” Trump said, “is probably the greatest theme in the history of politics.” After two years in office, we’re well on the way to accomplishing it. “we’ve made America great again, but how do you give up the No. 1 call a theme, logo, statement in the history of politics for a new one.”
How about, “Keep America Great.” When given the choice, the crowd went frantic over “Keep America Great.”
Many things have been accomplished and many more are yet to be achieved, Mike Pence is taking us back into space, We’re finalizing a USMCA trade agreement with Mexico and Canada to replace NAFTA. Trade talks with China may be a little rocky but we’ve been making real progress toward leveling the playing field.
Too many projects are underway to go into detail but President Trump ended with one of the most important things that separates him from his Democrat challengers.
“As one America, we believe in the American Constitution and the rule of law. We believe in the dignity of work and the sanctity of life. We believe that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the true American way. We believe that children should be taught to love our country, honor our history, and always respect our great American flag, and we will live by the words of our national motto: In God we Trust.”
