The mainstream network media is whipping liberals into a frenzy, with headlines screaming about illegal immigrants who have died in ICE custody.

In their typical Orwellian doublespeak fashion, stories like this are meant to call attention away from the real issue — the fact that an outright invasion is flooding our nation with more migrants than we can possibly absorb. What this really shows is that we need to build a wall!

Yes, three of the detainees have died since April, and a total of 24 during President Donald Trump’s time in office.

That isn’t as big a deal as you would think, when you consider that so far this month, Immigration and Customs Enforcement is “detaining more than 52,500 immigrants a day in a sprawling network of more than 200 detention centers.”

What they aren’t telling you is that there were between 6 and 14 deaths each year that Barack Obama was doing nothing but catch and release. The most recorded was 32 deaths in 2004 under George W. Bush.

To intentionally slant the issue to the left, NBC quotes liberal advocate Katharina Obser, who alleges:

“The U.S. government is not even doing the bare minimum to ensure [immigrants] are getting the medical care and the mental health care they need.”

Pushing back at the NBC reports, ICE spokesperson Danielle Bennett corrected the progressive outlet, insisting that migrant deaths while in custody are still “exceedingly rare.”

“[ICE] takes very seriously the health, safety and welfare of those in our care, including those who come into ICE custody with prior medical conditions or who have never before received appropriate medical care. Any death that happens in ICE custody is a cause for concern.”

What Obser has to say is nothing but baloney, Bennett relates.

“The agency spends more than $269 million to provide ‘comprehensive medical care’ to each of the 300,000 to 500,000 individuals who enter its custody each year and reviews the circumstances of all deaths that occur in ICE custody.”

Also, since Ms. Bennett brought up pre-existing medical conditions, CNN recently reported that 5,200 “adult immigrants” are sitting in quarantine around the country due to potential exposure to highly contagious diseases. Out of those, “around 4,200 are for exposure to mumps. Around 800 were exposed to chicken pox and 100 have been exposed to both.” Ebola has not yet become a significant factor but could at any time, considering the seriousness of the current outbreak in Africa.

Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin recently appeared on Face the Nation to talk about an inspection of border detention facilities that he conducted.

Faced with an outbreak of the H1N1 flu at the center he inspected, Johnson had nothing but praise for the workers.

“The men and women of our Border Patrol and other volunteers from the federal government are doing a heroic effort trying to deal with this humanitarian crisis.”

“The processing centers are back open but they are grossly overcrowded because of the unbelievable situation on the border, the out of control nature of it,” Johnson continued.

“Just the last three weeks, on average about twenty-three thousand” men, women, and children, “coming over across the border illegally as family units. This is overwhelming our system and we have to stop it.”

Any rational American would agree that we need a wall to secure our southern border. Along with that, we need Mexico’s full cooperation to shut down the migration routes that have allowed third parties to transport and shelter the invaders, from Central America all the way to our doorstep.

Most of all, we need to enforce the laws verifying employment and take similar steps to remove the sanctuary incentives that only serve as bait.
