Democrats gleefully yelled “gotcha” last week, when somebody leaked to the press that there was a whistleblower complaint laying around collecting dust. It allegedly could be used for dirt against President Donald Trump.

Apparently, nobody told the left that pointing the finger and pulling the trigger is a no-no these days. They quickly learned their lesson. With bait like that, the sharks started circling. They’re certain this proves Trump said something they can impeach him for. House Democrats promptly demanded a copy of the classified complaint.

The administration refused to hand it over, so the media war began. All the press could say at that point was Trump “promised” some foreign leader “something.” That didn’t stop them from breaking out the champagne.

As the rats on Capitol Hill scampered around to meet with reporters and leak what they know, it turns out that the complaint was really all about Joe Biden pressuring the Ukraine into firing a prosecutor. Viktor Shokin was targeting interests of Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

The ‘partisan’ whistleblower was bent out of shape because President Trump was demanding an investigation into it.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says there’s no reason why Trump shouldn’t have asked Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into the rumors.

On Sunday, he told ABC, “I do think if Vice President Biden behaved inappropriately, if he was protecting his son and intervened with the Ukrainian leadership in a way that was corrupt. I do think we need to get to the bottom of that.”

President Trump stands behind his actions, telling reporters he “had a great call with Zalensky.” Trump has no problem with his personal attorney Rudolph Giuliani telling Congress all about it. Giuliani was the one who put it all into action.

“I’m not looking to hurt Biden, but he did a very dishonest thing,” the President told reporters. “Somebody ought to look into Joe Biden’s statement, because it was disgraceful, where he talked about billions of dollars that he’s not giving to a certain country unless a certain prosecutor is taken off the case,” Trump said. “It’s a disgrace.”

He says he told Zalensky, “we don’t want our people, like Vice President Biden and his son contributing to corruption already happening in Ukraine.”

Hunter Biden served on the board of Burisma Group, an energy company in Ukraine. According to USA today, “The New York Times reported in May that Biden, while in office in 2016, threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees unless Ukraine reduced its corruption. Part of that demand called for removing the country’s top prosecutor, Shokin, who was investigating the oligarch behind an energy company where Hunter Biden served on the board.”

All Biden can say is that the media won’t prove it. “Not one single credible outlet has given credibility to these assertions. Not one single one. So I have no comment.”
