A four-page memo allegedly containing “jaw-dropping” revelations about U.S. government surveillance abuses is about to be released, or that’s what Republicans are hoping to.

On Monday, Rep. Dave Joyce, a Republican from Ohio, told Fox News the intelligence committee is working to release the document and once Americans see what it contains they will be surprised at how bad it really is.

The realization of the document itself should last 19 congressional days as it first needs to be approved by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., who can then decide to bring the committee back together for a vote. If the majority of the committee votes to release the memo, it would then be up to President Trump.

Joyce said he’s personally read the memo twice and “it was deeply disturbing as anyone who’s been in law enforcement.” He went on to say once President Trump approves the release of the memo, American will learn for themselves.

“The FBI has requested a copy of the memo in order to evaluate the information and take appropriate steps if necessary.  To date, the request has been declined,” FBI spokesman Andrew C. Ames told Fox News.

Joyce together with other conservatives is waiting for the memo to be released as it contains relevant proof of how Obama’s administration used FISA to spy on Trump’s campaign.

In this regard, Obama officials declined to the allegations.

On the other side, Democratic lawmakers are arguing the memo is just one more attempt for the Republicans to discredit the Russia Collusion investigation.

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff has called the memo “a profoundly misleading set of talking points drafted by Republican staff attacking the FBI and its handling of the investigation.”

However, Joyce has hinted the memo is so scandalous that “termination would be the least of these people’s worries” and even suggested some involved might be prosecuted.

Over the weekend, Nunes met with Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va) and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) to reconsider the possibility of the revelation of some information contained in the classified document.

Meanwhile, the Republicans intensify their calls for the document release to take place once and for all.

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who has called the memo “jaw-dropping,” is demanding full transparency.

“The House must immediately make public the memo prepared by the Intelligence Committee regarding the FBI and the Department of Justice,” Gaetz said.

North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows referred to the memo as “shocking” and “troubling.” He then went on to say, “Part of me wishes that I didn’t read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”

Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania stated bluntly, “You think about, ‘is this happening in America or is this the KGB?’ That’s how alarming it is.”

  1. Release the FISA documents

End the DACA program. No amnesty. WHY? Because these people have had more than ample time to become legalized. So, one can only assume that they either do not want to be American citizens; OR: they jus don’t want to go through the process. Can these comments and those made by others regarding these issues be printed in The Trump Times?

    Thank you.
