The U.S. has said it is concerned about Jamaat-ud-Dawa [JuD] chief and Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed running for office in Pakistan despite the “man” carrying a $10 million bounty on his head for terror activities. Saeed ,also founder of the Lashkar -e-Taiba [LeT], had earlier confirmed that the Jamaat-ud-Dawa [JuD] will contest the 2018 general election in Pakistan under the banner of the Milli Muslim League, which is yet to be registered with election commission.”Saeed, who was released by Pakistan house arrest last November resulting in angry reaction from the US, was mastermind of the Mumbai terrorist attacks and is leader of LeT,” state department spokes person Heeather Nauert said.

But it is great insult to the world mainly to US ,the former military dictator Pervez Musharraf has called LeT and JuD terror groups as “patriotic”, and he was ready to enter in to an alliance with them for Pakistan’s “safety and security,” according to a media report. The retired general, who is on self-exile in Dubai, had last month said he was the biggest supporter of the LeT and its founder Hafiz Saeed, the Mumbai terror attack mastermind who heads the banned Jamaat -ud-Dawah, the group that the US government considers to be a terror organization. “They [LeT] and JuD are patriotic people . The most patriotic. They sacrificed their lives for Pakistan in Kashmir,” the ARY news channel quoted him as saying.

Musharraf said the two groups have large public support and good people and no one could object if they formed a political party. The LeT was banned following the 2008 Mumbai attack while the JuD was declared as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. in June 2014.. The military ruler further said so far the two groups have not approached him but if they desire to enter in to an alliance with his party, he has no objection.
