A fire broke out at Trump Tower in New York City today. More than 100 firefighters were sent racing to the skyscraper as smoke rose up into the sky.

The fire started just before 7 a.m. and the FDNY put out the flames were put out about an hour later.

It was a small electrical fire that started in the cooling tower on the roof of the Fifth Avenue high-rise. The Tower was built by President Trump when he was a businessman.

More than 126 firefighters responded to the scene. Videos were seen all over Twitter.

The building was not evacuated but a firefighter received minor injuries when debris fell down on him. Smoke inhalation was suffered by the building’s engineer.

President Trump’s son, Eric Trump, thanked the New York City fire department for the “incredible job” they did containing the flames before the fire spread.

Since President Trump was elected in November 2016, Trump Tower has been protected by heavy security presence. The building contains businesses and luxury apartments.

The New York City building was the home of First lady Melania Trump and their son Barron for the first few months of Trump’s presidency before they officially joined president Trump in the White House.

No email servers or criminal evidence was destroyed by this fire.
