In the walls of the cubicle there were three orifices. To the right of the speakwrite, a small pneumatic tube for written messages, to the left, a larger one for newspapers; and in the side wall, within easy reach of Winston’s arm, a large oblong slit protected by a wire grating. This last was for the disposal of waste paper. Similar slits existed in thousands or tens of thousands throughout the building, not only in every room but at short intervals in every corridor. For some reason they were nicknamed memory holes. When one knew that any document was due for destruction, or even when one saw a scrap of waste paper lying about, it was an automatic action to lift the flap of the nearest memory hole and drop it in, whereupon it would be whirled away on a current of warm air to the enormous furnaces which were hidden somewhere in the recesses of the building. – George Orwell’s 1984

Facebook claims they’re trying to “stop election interference”, yet that is actually what they are doing interfering with the election when they take down millions of users’ pages and personal profiles of people with different views than theirs.

On Thursday, October 11 Facebook purged over 800 pages in a clampdown on political diversity, Facebook claims the reason why these sites (including The Trump Times) was taken down was because of “inauthentic behavior” whatever that means.

Today, we’re removing 559 Pages and 251 accounts that have consistently broken our rules against spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior”, wrote Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook’s head of cybersecurity policy and Oscar Rodriguez, product manager in a blog post.

One of these 251 accounts was our own Editor In Chief Daveda Gruber, she wrote an article about the incident.

Facebook went continued in their blog post to try to “explain” the reason that “led to this action”.

Given the activity we’ve seen — and its timing ahead of the US midterm elections — we wanted to give some details about the types of behavior that led to this action,” the post said.

Many were using fake accounts or multiple accounts with the same names and posted massive amounts of content across a network of Groups and Pages to drive traffic to their websites. Many used the same techniques to make their content appear more popular on Facebook than it really was,” the post continued.

The other pages and accounts were described as “ad farms” using Facebook to earn money and mislead people rather than engage in “legitimate political debate.”.

The Western Journal has a list of some of the pages that were taken down.

A few months back I saw a post from the “Facebook Security” page claiming they’re trying to make Facebook “more secure” for the election. I wrote a reply to their claim and this is what I wrote “Secure”? Yeah right, you’re not making anything “secure” what you are really doing is actually censoring people who don’t kowtow to the liberal progressive socialist communist Marxist ideology.

What you are doing has absolutely nothing to do with “securing” our election,”.

The real reason why they did this is by purging these sites is to control the mainstream establishment narrative, and even some of the sites on the left were taken down, this is what we’ve been warning liberals about. Eventually, they’re going to go after you. First, they went after Infowars and Alex Jones, then they go after conservatives, libertarian and other independent alternative media outlets then after that, liberals in the alternative media even if they agree with the mainstream media will be next.

The main point of this article is not whether sites, that were taken were conservative, libertarian or liberal, etc the point of this article is that censorship is bad regardless of who you are doing it to. Again I want to stress to the people who defend Facebook’s actions that eventually they’re going to start taking down your own sites despite you agreeing with them. The reason for this is they want to protect their monopoly in the industry, they don’t want competitors in the alternative media either on the right, or the left or even in the middle.

Again as I stated the in the beginning, Facebook and the rest of the mainstream social media outlets which include Facebook (Instagram), Twitter, YouTube (Google) are the ones who are actually doing the interfering in our election.

There are two things the left criticizes us about the first thing they say we who don’t align with their ideology don’t use “critical thinking” but you can’t have “critical thinking” when you censor and prevent dissenting views, the second thing the left criticizes us about us is how conservatives are in an “echo chamber” of some kind, yet what do you expect when you censor us from these mainstream sites they’re going migrate to other social media outlets who more pro-free speech friendly.

And this brings me another thing I want to to talk about, these alternatives sites to the mainstream social media outlets are even being targeted themselves, one site was threatened by their host provider if they didn’t get rid of one particular user their host provider would have canceled the site’s domain name which meant their site would have gone down the internet memory hole and would be gone forever, that site was

In conclusion, by trying to as they put it to “prevent election interference” by taking down these pages and personal accounts they’re the ones who are actually doing the interfering in our election, also by constantly censoring people you don’t agree with you are the ones who responsible for creating what you call an “conservative echo chamber”, which isn’t really an “echo chamber” at all these sites are pro-free speech friendly; meaning they allow all views on their platform.
