Breitbart and Fox News are reporting that Steve Bannon has stepped down from his position as executive chairman of Breitbart News.

According to Breitbart “Bannon and Breitbart will together on a smooth and orderly transition”

Bannon said, “I’m proud of what the Breitbart team has accomplished in so short of a period of time in building out a world-class news platform.”

According to Breitbart CEO Larry Solov, “Steve is a valued part of our legacy, and we will always be grateful for his contributions, and what he has helped us to accomplish.”

Fox News is reporting Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has stepped down from his position as executive chairman of Breitbart News, the outlet said on Tuesday. The move came amid controversial remarks that were attributed to Bannon in a recently released anti-Trump book.

If you have seen my most recent article you’ll see I really don’t believe what Michael Wolff said Bannon said in his book, you’ll also notice that Wolff himself has a history of making stuff up and fabricating quotes.

But unfortunately, the damage has already been done due to the misquotes and fabrication of Steve Bannon by Wolff in his book.

I think this is a sad day for the Republican Party as well as conservatives because I know for a fact that Steve Bannon is still a big supporter of Trump.

Now that Bannon has stepped down from his position at Breitbart, the Democrats will likely use this in the midterms election to portray the Republican Party ‘in dismay’.

I call on Bannon to go on Fox News either with Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, or even Tucker Carlson to clear his name. We need to hear it from his own mouth rather than just quotes from reporters and anchors, cause that’s what started this whole ‘controversy’ in the first place.
