Alabama Democrat State Rep. Rolanda Hollis introduced a bill on Thursday that would require men to get a vasectomy after their 50th birthday.
Alabama Democrat State Rep. Rolanda Hollis sponsored the bill, she said, that will “neutralize” abortion restrictions in the state.
Hollis ‘ bill would also require all men in the state to undergo the procedure after their third child. Men would be required to pay for the operation, the bill states.
Rep. Hollis said on Twitter that the bill was in response to a proposed near-total ban on abortion in the state that was struck down by a federal court in 2019.
“The Vasectomy bill is to help with the reproductive system. This is to neutralize the abortion ban bill,” Hollis wrote in the tweet.
“The responsibility is not always on the women. It takes 2 to tangle. This will help prevent pregnancy as well as abortion of unwanted children,” she added.

Alabama Rep. Rolanda Hollis arrested in Florida on domestic violence charge
Why is this person even serving in government… Oh, that’s right she’s a ‘Do As I Say, Not As I Do’ Democrat.
If this was a Republican how fast would the Democrats be screaming on CNN, and MSNBC about the evils of the right-wing?
According to a local report, in September 2019, Alabama State Representative Rolanda Hollis (D) was arrested Sunday for domestic violence at a hotel in Destin, Florida, according to a report from the Okaloosa Co. Sheriff’s Office.
Hollis was arrested around 11:00 p.m. at the Inn on Destin Harbor after a witness says she pushed a male family member against their will. The incident was witnessed by a third person who provided a sworn statement to authorities.
