For Years Conservatives have been asking “Where’s the ACLU?”

After standing by silently for the past 4-years watching Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, and other social media platforms ran amok stomping on American’s 1st amendment right to free speech.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) whose sole mission is to protect the rights of American’s has suddenly become worried

NOW, the ACLU is questioning Big Tech’s censorship of President Donald Trump and some of his supporters.

ACLU Has An Ulterior Motive For Calling Out Social Media’s Censorhip

The ACLU statement that was released on Friday shows that they care little that the social-media overlords have begun purging their sites of President Trump, as well as other Conservative voices.

After taking a shot at President Trump the ACLU statement showed exactly why they decided now is the time to call out the Big Tech Dictators.

While clearly having no issue with social media silencing the right, the ACLU fears that those very same censorship policies now being used against MAGA supporters, could ultimately lead to minorities being censored as well?

The ACLU Statment read:

“For months, President Trump has been using social media platforms to seed doubt about the results of the election and to undermine the will of voters.

We understand the desire to permanently suspend him now, but it should concern everyone when companies like Facebook and Twitter wield the unchecked power to remove people from platforms that have become indispensable for the speech of billions – especially when political realities make those decisions easier.

President Trump can turn to his press team or Fox News to communicate with the public, but others – like the many Black, Brown, and LGBTQ activists who have been censored by social media companies – will not have that luxury.

It is our hope that these companies will apply their rules transparently to everyone,” the ACLU wrote.

Social Media’s Unchecked Power

Big Tech had begun its crackdown on the President and his Conservative supporters even before Donald Trump pulled off the greatest upset in American political history.

But from the moment President Trump his 2020 re-election bid. Facebook, Twitter, and other liberal-biased social media platforms have put their censoring Conservative into overdrive.

On Friday, Twitter permanently banned Trump from its platform, claiming that Trump’s tweets about his supporters continuing to be heard and not attending President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration violated their site’s guidelines.

But incredibly, despite neither one of President Trump’s Tweets that Twitter cited included any calls for violence.

Twitter still maintained that Trump’s tweets violated their guidelines on inciting or glorifying violence?

On January 8, 2021, President Donald J. Trump tweeted:

“The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!”

Shortly thereafter, the President tweeted:

“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”

Twitter Explains Why They Banned Trump:

Due to the ongoing tensions in the United States, and an uptick in the global conversation in regards to the people who violently stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, these two Tweets must be read in the context of broader events in the country and the ways in which the President’s statements can be mobilized by different audiences, including to incite violence, as well as in the context of the pattern of behavior from this account in recent weeks. After assessing the language in these Tweets against our Glorification of Violence policy, we have determined that these Tweets are in violation of the Glorification of Violence Policy and the user @realDonaldTrump should be immediately permanently suspended from the service.

Social Media’s Conservative Purge

As TuskerDaily also reported on Friday, Facebook also banned Trump from posting during the remainder of his term in office.

Snapchat banned Trump as well, followed by YouTube suspending Donald Trump’s account.

Google went the extra mile in censoring Trump, as they removed Parler, the Twitter-like social media platform that Trump supporters sought refuge from the social media’s purge in from its app store.

Apple followed suit by also threatening the Parler app with expulsion from their store if they don’t bend the knee to the Big Tech Lord and start moderating what was being posted.
