“White women,” Anne Hathaway insists, were “complicit” by knuckling under to pressure from “white men” intent on “controlling women’s bodies.”
On Wednesday, the liberal actress was furious that Alabama women chose to oppose abortion. Alabama lawmakers recently restricted almost all forms of abortion in the state. “Yes the anti-abortion movement is primarily about controlling women’s bodies under the premise (for many, sincere) of saving lives, and yes this law is primarily the work of white men,” Hathaway posted on social media site Instagram. “However,” she persisted, a white woman sponsored the bill and a white woman signed it into law.” Hathaway was referring to Republican Rep. Terri Collins and Governor Kay Ivey, also a Republican.
Many conservatives are thrilled that a growing number of states are finally pushing back against the excessive abortion positions being pushed recently. Abortion has gone way beyond preventing unwanted pregnancies to murdering a fully developed baby. Those who believe in the ultimate sanctity of life ask how else can you describe ending the life of a living child other than brutal murder? It looks like the pro-choice crowd pushed their stance a few steps way to far left for society to accept.
Celebrities often forget that avoiding politics is a good idea because a big mouth could cost them their fan base by dragging hard won popularity down to the gutter. Stars often appear to take themselves too seriously, believing their thoughts are more important then ours, as if somehow they’re more important than us.
Hathaway is convinced that the so called “complicity of the white women” will inevitably lead to “the unnecessary and avoidable deaths of women, a disproportionate number of whom will be poor and/or black.”
Hathaway’s remarks make her appear to be just another puppet of the socialist left. In the liberal world of Hollywood, entertainers seem afraid they won’t be able to get work if they side with Republicans, a sad but likely true fear for those sitting on the fence, afraid to speak up for their real beliefs.
The general conservative consensus is that now is the time to send a clear message by boycotting all movies, TV, concerts, or appearances of liberal Tinseltown performers in order to let them all know that we’re not going to support and pay for their careers any longer.
