Bailey was 16 in 2012 who was studying psychology at East Tennessee State University, the youngest of the four kids when doctors found that her father had pancreatic cancer and he died at the age of 56. During that time she dropped out of school to take care of him.

A year later , the next delivery arrived with a note, “Happy 18th birthday,” and he wrote “Spread your wings and fly. I will always love you, ” Dad.
“Everyone knows I hate my birthday. It is a remainder he is not there anymore and at the same time, I can’t wait. It’s a reminder that he’s still here with me.”
Two days before her 21st birthday, she was surprised to receive the flowers early. She said, “While the previous years flowers usually had short greetings but this time a handwritten note with butterfly stickers was attached.”
The whole family crying when her mom read the rest of the letter.
