Obama’s DOJ Illegally ‘Misled’ The FISA Court — Sen. Graham Demands ‘Corrective Action’ Or Else

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court let Obama’s Department of Injustice and Federal Bureau of Instigation use them as a weapon against President Donald Trump. The big question is, will they do anything about it?

Graham can “prove without any doubt” that the surveillance court “was misled to the accuracy of the Christopher Steele dossier.” Not only that, the DOJ and FBI intentionally lied and hid things from the court.

Graham’s “deep dive” investigation has already revealed “the system had plenty of warnings that it was not reliable, it was biased, and they didn’t do a damn thing to look into it, and they never informed the court of the bias in any meaningful way.”

If the Inspector General’s report doesn’t produce some immediate and meaningful reforms, Lindsay Graham may simply abolish the whole program. “if I am convinced after all this B.S., and the court doesn’t take corrective action, then I’ve lost faith in the court.”

He has the power to do it as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman. “I’ve got to be in charge of making sure that Americans’ rights are protected,” he told Hannity. “If they don’t take any corrective action, it will prove to me that the court is not reliable.”

Inspector General Michael Horowitz has sent a draft of his report into the abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act over to Attorney General William Barr. The DOJ and FBI get to look it over and report back what they think should remain classified. After that, the public will get a chance to see it.

Documents already released show how heavily the DOJ and FBI relied on Christopher Steele’s unverified dossier. The ex-British spy and his folder full of dirt were both bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

They used attorney Mark Elias from the law firm of Perkins Coie as a cutout to distance themselves from Glenn Simpson and Fusion GPS. Senior DOJ official Bruce Ohr was a key player in the plot. His wife Nellie Ohr worked directly with Glenn Simpson. She is believed to have accessed top secret intelligence databases to search them like Google. The things she dug up were provided to Steele for use in his dossier.

Barack Obama’s justice officials went out of their way to hide things from the FISA court, like who paid for the dossier. They also didn’t tell them they were still using Steele’s material even after “he was cut off as a confidential human source.” That happened, according to The Washington Examiner, “following the discovery that he had been improperly providing information to journalists, according to notes from interviews with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr.”

Part of the Inspector General’s report is expected to center around closed-door testimony from Special Agent Jonathan Moffa. In August of 2018, Rep. Mark Meadows was so shocked by what he heard, he called it “unreal.”

“We’ve learned NEW information suggesting our suspicions are true,” Meadows tweeted. “FBI/DOJ have previously leaked info to the press, and then used those same press stories as a separate source to justify FISA’s. Unreal.”

Because Steele’s unconfirmed dossier wasn’t good enough to get a wire tap on Carter Page, the FBI and DOJ teamed up to first leak dossier excerpts to the press, then use the planted articles to “prove” the dossier’s claims. That is clearly “weaponization.”

As Conservative Daily Post reported at the time, “In FISA applications, the FBI quoted a Sept. 23, 2016, Yahoo! News story ‘that relied heavily on Steele as a source,’ Daily Caller relates. ‘The FBI did not acknowledge that Steele was a source for the article, which was written by Michael Isikoff.'”

Lying under oath is the crime of perjury. Lisa Page and Peter Strzok confirmed in their text messages that sort of behavior was common.

After one leak, Strzok texted, “Just a tiny bit from us.” When the “CF” Clinton Foundation story came out, they kicked around the best way to “discover” it for sharing with their co-workers. “Article is out, but hidden behind a paywall so can’t read it,” Page tapped out on Oct. 24, 2016.”

That one almost got them caught. When The Washington Post quoted them as “Justice Department attorneys and FBI officials” in a story, they nearly got caught. Page got a call from the FBI chief of staff, James Rybicki. “Sorry, Rybicki called. Time line article in the post (sic) is super specific and not good. Doesn’t make sense because I didn’t have specific information to give.”
