Somebody does not like Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, CNN reports, an “unknown number of individuals and vehicles pulled up” in front of the San Antonio ICE headquarters and “fired numerous rounds into the ICE facility.”
In a press conference, Christopher Combs, who is the FBI special agent in charge for San Antonio, told the press, “I don’t think there is a question that they knew which floors the ICE offices were on.”
Thankfully, no one was injured but it came close. “We had federal employees who were present, Combs explained. “Had the bullets gone 2 inches in another direction, we could be here today talking about the murder of a federal official.”
Two buildings were separately attacked at the same time. One was the office building and the other houses an ICE contractor. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken over the case and is processing it as an “assault on a federal official.” Surveillance footage is being reviewed and the area being processed as a crime scene.
This was not a prank or a protest, Combs points out. “To fire indiscriminately into any building, let alone a federal facility, is not and act of protest, it’s an act of violence.” Combs isn’t saying if it was meant as a warning, but he is expecting more trouble. “We are concerned that there could be additional attacks.”
Of course, the current political climate is the first thing everyone points the finger of blame at. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her squad have been demonizing all efforts to enforce our Immigration laws. “Political rhetoric and misinformation that various politicians, media outlets and activist groups recklessly disseminate to the American people regarding the ICE mission only serve to further encourage these violent acts,” Daniel Bible said in a separate statement. His is Director of the San Antonio ICE Field Office.

Incidents like this don’t scare our immigration veterans, it only goes to show them how important their job is and give them more incentive. Nearly 700 illegals were rounded up in Mississippi last week and more mass immigration raids are on the horizon.
On a positive note, President Donald Trump’s tough economic policies are putting enough pressure on Mexico and Guatemala that they are starting to block the endless flow of invading Central Americans. As the pressure starts to ease on the border, more resources can be leveraged to help the deportation side.
