The FBI has lost two more officials who worked closely with former bureau director James Comey.
Jim Baker who was a top FBI lawyer and was reassigned in late 2017 is reportedly looking to join the ‘Brookings Institution’, a Washington think tank. He was linked to a journalist who wrote about the “Trump dossier.”
The subject of a Justice Department investigation, Baker was suspected of leaking classified information about the so-called “Trump dossier.” The document supposedly contained evidence about the Trump campaign’s connection to Russia.
In December Baker had been reassigned as an adviser to current FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Baker told the New York Times, “I love the FBI. I have tremendous respect for the bureau. The FBI was great, is great and will be great.”
A great public servant retired from the FBI today. Jim Baker’s integrity and commitment to the rule of law have benefitted our country through 5 presidents, of both parties. We are fortunate he and so many others choose to devote their lives to justice.

Comey must be nervous. He no longer can spell; “benefitted” [sic] is spelled benefited.
Lisa Page, we all know that name, right? The woman who texted to Peter Strzok and drew accusations of political bias, she “resigned” on Friday to “pursue other opportunities.”
Page was previously a member of Robert Mueller’s special counsel team. She came under fire for allegedly sending Strzok anti-Trump messages.
She was one of Comey’s advisers in 2016. That was when the former director announced the bureau would not pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her handling of classified emails.
Comey has said that he would have removed Page from any relevant investigations had he been aware of her anti-Trump bias.
Really? It took this long for her to leave the FBI and we all know about the text messages. It’s about time.
Who will be next to go?
